- Higher levels of luteinizing hormone (LH), measured on a home ovulation kit.

How We Calculate Your Dates
Ovulation usually happens about 14 days before your next menstrual period. We estimate your ovulation date by subtracting 14 from the length of your cycle and adding that number of days to the first day of your last period. You're most fertile from about five days before ovulation to one day after.
Your next period is predicted by adding your chosen cycle length to the first day of your last period. Home pregnancy tests are most accurate around 14 days after ovulation, so we show that date as well.
The estimated due date is based on the standard method of adding 280 days (40 weeks) to the first day of your last menstrual period.
