Hysteroscopy is a procedure used to visualize the inside of uterus along with visualizing the tubal openings and endometrial lining. It is introduced through the vagina into the uterine cavity. The small telescope as small as 2 to 4mm diameter is attached to a high-definition camera and the magnified image is seen on the television monitor or screen. Hysteroscopy is not only an excellent mode of diagnostic tool but also serves as a therapeutic modality, as we can not only identify the problems which exist inside the Uterine cavity but can also correct it surgically with the help of hysteroscope.
