Who should get It done?
Ovarian Reserve Test is more important for women, who have a higher risk of reduced ovarian reserve, such as
- Age more than 35 years
- Unexplained infertility
- Have a single ovary
- H/O Ovarian Surgery/ Chemotherapy of pelvic irradiation
- Family history of early menopause
- Have shown a poor response to gonadotropin ovarian stimulation
Interpretation of tests for Ovarian Reserve
Currently, Ovarian Reserve Test have been shown to be accurate predictors of quantitative aspects of ovarian Reserve & thereby of the response to ovarian hyperstimulation. However, they are not the qualitative predictors of ovarian Reserve and thus not good predictors of occurrence of pregnancy.
